FOR THE FUN OF IT

It's July 2, 1937, Amelia Earhart, pilot, and Capt. Fred Noonan, navigator, are flying the final leg of a grueling world tour - -the Pacific Ocean. The finish line? Oakland,CA. Before they pop the champagne, they must refuel on Howland Island and Hawii -- refueling on Howland, the postage stamp of islands, is the riskier venture. Severe weather, faulty antennas, and a draining fuel supply threaten their success. Will they reach Howland before the fuel runs out?
